Tawheed
Institute is a not-for-profit organization and provides Islamic
educational services on Sundays for approximately 48 weeks a
year as well as community services such as Counseling,
Financial, and Burial services. These services are provided by dedicated
volunteers and professional experts in their respective fields.
The classes are structured for Islamic
education and caters for students of all ages
regardless of ethnic background or financial
status and is financially subsidized by tuition and donations from the
general public. School hours are from 12:00 noon
to 5:00 pm and the coursework is based on a
well-defined curriculum.The program is geared to provide a
comprehensive understanding of the fundamental
principles of Islam. Along with its commitment
for excellence in education, the program provides
a unique and congenial environment for the
advancement of Islamic theology in a practical
manner.
By the Grace of
the Almighty Allah, our student population is
steadily growing due to our unique methods of
teaching. Our instructors do not receive any
remunerations for their services and are
dedicated in their commitment to this program.
They are all under the supervision of the resident religious guide
at the Islamic Institute of New York. Our
instructors' dedication to the program is
exemplary and exceeds all expected standards.
The curriculum is
a twelve year program designed for students
living in the West and is under the observation
of qualified religious scholars.
The semester
periods are as follows:
Fall - September to January
Spring - February to June
Summer - July to August
Note :
Report cards are given one week after the
semester ends.

Counseling, Financial and Burial Services are offered to all
those in need subject to our standards of approval.
Objectives
The program will provide Islamic education
according to the Ja'fari School of Thought
(Ithna-Asheri) which emphasizes adhereance to the Holy Qur'an
and the Ahlal Bayt of the Holy Prophet (saww), and to increase awareness of its
divine and deeply rooted principles.
Conduct seminars and trips for
a more focused training of Islamic education and
provide an interactive environment to the
students using the latest technologies such as
the information superhighway to increase
productivity with class assignments and course
works.
Provide counseling services to
all Muslim students in the tri-state area. The
counseling consists of expert help in guiding and
planning the academic future of our students as
well as provide guidance towards good moral
conduct in the family and society at large.
Provide burial services to the Muslim community in North
America. The services include preparation of the deceased,
shrouding, leading of prayers, transportation and burial.
Provide a strong role model for
the students to enhance social skills and
self-confidence in the real world. By using
innovative techniques to simplify the
complexities of decision-making, the program aims
at improving the standards of interaction of its
students while in school, with friends, and at
home following the guidelines and prescriptions
set by the Holy Qur'an and the Holy Prophet
(SAWW).
Facilitate an Islamic
environment for the students to interact in and
socialize, provide support in athletic activities
and academic assignments, and promote good moral
behavior.
